French windows on the third floor, any window requiring the use of a 30' or larger ladder, third floor windows that can be walked up to by a roof or deck count as first floor windows. French glass is any piece of glass that has been divided into smaller pieces by a frame, each pane must be counted separately. In the sample picture this window is depicting one French window with nine panes. If French panes are attached to a larger single pane of glass they are counted separately from the adjacent pane.
